Police urge people to avoid central city area after shots reportedly fired at building near main train station
A hostage situation is under way in the eastern city of Dresden following reports of shots being fired on Saturday morning, German police said.
Police urged people to avoid an area in the city centre and ordered the Christmas market to remain closed.
