Many stores will shut their doors on Easter Sunday, meaning shoppers will need to stock up before then.

However, you can avoid crowded aisles and beat the queues by ordering your food online.

But slots tend to run out quickly during this time, like with other public holidays.

If you can’t grab a home delivery, you might be able to book a click & collect slot.

We asked the UK supermarket giants to find out when shoppers can start booking slots for Easter.

Here’s what they said:

Tesco

Tesco delivery slots are now open for delivery saver and non-delivery saver customers.

The cost of delivery starts at £2, depending on what time you select.

Shoppers will need to spend a minimum of £40 to qualify for delivery and £25 for click & collect.

The deadline for your order to arrive by Easter Sunday is April 7.

Waitrose

Like with Tesco, Waitrose delivery and click & collect slots are now open for all customers.

Delivery costs £3 and there’s a £40 minimum spend.

The cut-off time for delivery for Easter Sunday depends on where you live in the UK.

So make sure you check sooner rather than later to ensure you order on time.

Aldi

Aldi does not offer grocery delivery services but shoppers can order via click & collect.

There is no minimum spend but the store charges a collection fee of £4.99.

Slots are available six days before the chosen day of collection.

So if you want your order to be ready for April 8, you’ll need to place it on April 2.

Ocado

Slots are open now for delivery, though Ocado doesn’t offer click & collect.

The cost for delivery will start from £2.99 and shoppers will need to spend a minimum of £40.

The cut-off time is usually the evening before you’d like your order to arrive.

But bear in mind that there will be no deliveries on Easter Sunday so you’ll need to place your order by April 7 for it to arrive on Easter Saturday.

Ocado also said that slots are subject to availability so shoppers may want to place their orders even earlier.

Sainsbury’s

Customers can place their orders now at Sainsbury’s – this includes Nectar and non-Nectar customers.

Shoppers will need to spend a minimum of £25.

Delivery starts from 50p depending on the time slot they select, but those who spend less than £40 will pay £7 for delivery.

The last time to place a booking for it to arrive by Easter Sunday is 11pm on April 7.

Asda

Both Asda delivery pass customers and those without it can book their slots for Easter now.

Delivery costs start at £1.50 depending on when you place the booking.

Slots are available on a first come, first served basis so while there’s no cut-off to ensure your delivery gets here on time, once the slots run out that’s it.

Shoppers must spend a minimum of £40 for delivery and £25 for click & collect.

Co-op

Co-op delivery slots are released up to five days in advance so if you want your order to arrive for Easter Saturday, you’ll need to get online around April 3.

A lot of delivery orders are sent on the same day so make sure you’re prepared for it to arrive.

Delivery starts from 99p and there is a £15 minimum spend.

Morrisons

Morrisons shoppers can book their Easter delivery orders now – this includes those with rewards and those without.

Delivery starts from £1.50 but it is free for click & collect customers.

The minimum spend is £25.

Morrisons said that delivery slots will be available for April 8 but shoppers will need to be quick as they’ll run out fast.

Iceland

Customers can select the date of their Easter slot now and then book the time for it to arrive six days in advance.

Iceland offers free next day delivery for orders over £40.

But shoppers must spend a minimum of £25 – delivery will cost £3 for those below £40.
