A POPULAR discount retailer is disappearing from the high street but all is not lost for shoppers.
Home Bargains is set to take over all of the Quality Save stores after buying out the brand.

In January, Quality Save’s stores were sold to TJ Morris which owns Home Bargains.
It was then announced that all stores would be given a Home Bargains rebrand, except four.
In August TJ Morris confirmed that the the Stalybridge, Atherton, Chorley and Darwen stores would not take part in the rebrand and would close for good.
Quality Save’s store on Chapel Street in Chorley will be the first to close for the final time on Friday, October 6.

The Stalybridge store will also shut in October, but the exact date isn’t yet confirmed.
Two stores have also already been rebranded as Home Bargains.
Quality Save currently operates across 14 stores – 10 of which will eventually become Home Bargains in:
- Cheadle
- Chorlton
- Dewsbury
- Droylsden
- Hyde
- Middleton
- Prestwich
- Sale
- Stretford
- Widnes

However, TJ Morris can’t confirm the exact dates for the changes “due to landlord negotiations”.
The rebrand means some of the shops will have to shut to undergo refurbishment.
Quality Save shops already look pretty similar to Home Bargains as the logo is also red and white.
The chain was founded in 1974 by Bob Rudkin who started the business from an indoor market stall in Walkden and a small shop in Farnworth.
Shoppers have praised the small discounter on social media for its wide range of stock and great discounts.
One fan recently said: “Always has a wide range of branded and inexpensive goods. Friendly staff and convenient parking.”
While another commented: “Quality Save has lots of products at lower cost than the other shops and supermarkets.”

Shoppers can save money at Home Bargains through several tips and tricks.
Visiting your local store at the right time can make all the difference and you could walk away with a deal for as little as 69p.
Shopping after big public holidays and events such as Christmas is a good way to get a big discount.
It is at these times the retailer is most likely to want to get rid of excess stock and will therefore slash the already low prices even further.
Party decorations and decorations for Halloween are worth picking up with prices starting from as little as 99p.
One woman gave her house a complete makeover with budget buys from various discounters including Home Bargains.

And some shoppers are only just realising that the discounter also has more than 60 bakeries across its stores.
Fans of the store are also flocking to pick up the “best” ingredient to make their favourite pumpkin spice latte at home.
