Several major supermarkets and restaurants are giving out the free treats for kids in the run-up to the big day.

Traditionally, kids are supposed to leave out a mince pie and glass of milk for Santa, plus carrots for Rudolph and his seven fellow reindeer.

The veg is all free and can be collected from your local stores.

But you’ll have to be quick, as some will only be available while stocks last.

Tesco

Tesco is offering free reindeer treats from now until Saturday, December 24.

Shoppers will be able to find the carrots in stands near the stores’ entrance.

You don’t need to do anything to qualify for the treat as large stands filled with carrots are in stores now.

But you’ll have to be quick, as they will only be available while stocks last.

Tesco has been handing out free carrots for Rudolph at its stores Christmas since 2019.

McDonald’s

McDonald’s is also giving children free carrots – but only on Christmas Eve.

The fast food giant has previously given out the freebies over the Christmas period, and this year is no exception – but they are only available while stock lasts.

Bags of carrot sticks are usually 99p – which means you’ll be saving yourself just under a quid to keep Rudolph and his pals happy.

All you need to do is head to one of its more than 1,270 restaurants in the UK.

You won’t need to buy anything to qualify for your free carrots.

The free carrots will be available all day on Christmas Eve (December 24).

Those wanting one will be offered one carrot bag per child.

You can use McDonald’s restaurant locator tool to see where your nearest branch is.

The freebie is part of McDonald’s #ReindeerReady campaign, where families can download free activities on the chain’s website.

Morrisons

It’s good news for Morrisons shoppers too all of its 489 stores across the UK are handing out “wonky” carrots from today.

The treats are being given for free today and tomorrow, December 23.

To collect the carrots, just ask one of Morrisons’ ‘community champions’ in the store during your shop – or ask someone at the till.

Morrisons has been doing this for a couple of years now.
