There are several DWP payments expected in July, and while we can give you an idea of when you can expect to be paid remember that not every benefit has a set date.
Disability Cost of Living Payment
It is expected that the £150 Disability Cost of Living Payment will be paid between June 20 and July 4, 2023.
A small number of people will see the £150 land in their accounts after July 4.
This will apply if you were awaiting confirmation of your eligibility for the qualifying benefits on April 1.
If you are eligible for this payment but do not receive it you should contact DWP.

In total six million people will receive the £150 payment to help them with the cost of living.
You have to be receiving certain benefits to qualify for the £150 cost of living payment. These are:

The £150 payment will be paid directly into eligible people’s bank accounts – you don’t have to apply.
The code to spot in your statement will be your national insurance number followed by “DWP COL”.
Other benefit payments in July 2023
There are no bank holidays in July, so unlike previous months your benefits should be paid as usual.
How often you get paid depends on what benefit you are receiving, we have listed the benefits and payment frequency as a guide.
- Attendance Allowance (usually every four weeks)
- Carer’s Allowance (weekly in advance or every four weeks)
- Child Benefit (usually every four weeks — or weekly if you’re a single parent, or you or your partner get certain benefits)
- Disability Living Allowance (usually every four weeks)
- Employment and Support Allowance (usually every two weeks)
- Income Support (usually every two weeks)
- Jobseeker’s Allowance (usually every two weeks)
- Pension Credit (usually every four weeks)
- Personal Independence Payment (usually every four weeks)
- State Pension (usually every four weeks)
- Tax credits, such as Working Tax Credit (every four weeks or weekly. Check your payment date if you’re paid every four weeks.)
- Universal Credit (every month)
Pension dates in July 2023
As there are no bank holidays in July there will be no delays to the state pension payments.
If you are unsure of the date you are due to be paid your pension you can quickly check by looking at the last two digits of your National Insurance number.
Here is a guide to help you:
- 00 to 19 (Monday)
- 20 to 39 (Tuesday)
- 40 to 59 (Wednesday)
- 60 to 79 (Thursday)
- 80 to 99 (Friday)
Benefits are usually paid straight into your bank, building society or credit union account.
If your payment date is on a weekend or falls on a bank holiday you’ll usually be paid the working day before.
This may be different for tax credits and child benefit.
The next UK bank holiday is Monday, August 28, 2023.
