Staff at hospitals and care homes had refused Covid jab despite warning by Macron of September deadline

France has suspended 3,000 health workers without pay for refusing to be vaccinated against Covid.

The health minister, Olivier Véran, said the staff had been notified in writing before the government-imposed deadline to have at least one dose.
