FANS of H&M know there are a whole load of on-trend clothing and accessories to be had both in store and online.

H&M offers a lot to choose from and is a relatively cheap retailer to choose if you’re looking to refresh your wardrobe.

The chain can be a great place to look for a cheaper version of something you’ve seen elsewhere too.

It has around 200 stores in the UK alone, with thousands more across the world.

You can find your nearest H&M location using the search tool on its website.

Shoppers can also head onto the website or download the app.

It might not be your first pick for everything though, some items might be better left on the shelf.

Here are the four items to always buy in H&M and the ones to avoid.

Summer dresses

One thing shoppers definitely agree on is that H&M has hit the nail on the head with its summer dresses.

Most stores have wide range of different items available and shoppers are forever talking about the great quality.

It’s good news for fashionistas as well because they’re usually pretty cheap too, costing as little as £10.

People on social media regularly comment on how on-trend the dresses are as well.

Even H&M’s fancier dresses come with a discounted price compared to other retailers.

Designer dupes

H&M fans have been raving for years over its selection of bargain price designer dupes.

Over the years shoppers have rushed to buy own-brand versions of big name items like Uggs, Fendi, Skims, Nike and Chanel.

Most recently, bargain hunters managed to find a £25 dupe of the popular purple sequin Fendi Baguette bag, which retails at a whopping £4,000.

Back in December last year when Maxi Uggs made their fashion comeback, H&M thrilled shoppers by selling a remarkably similar £15 version but for £130 less.

A stylist recently shared the best designer dupes in H&M right now, including a Chanel dupe that is over £1,300 cheaper than the original.

H&M is clearly the place to be for shoes and accessories dupes of expensive brands.

Homeware

Over the past few years H&M has hugely expanded its homeware offering, even introducing H&M Home stores to the UK high street.

Items span from décor to full pieces of furniture and of course all come with a lower price tag than the likes of The White Company.

The chain stocks a whole range of homeware online too for those who can’t get to the shops.

From bedding and curtains to cookware and storage, shoppers choose to deck out their whole house in one place.

Interior designers have also given H&M their vote of approval for decorating their homes in full.

Other brands

Over the last few months H&M has slowly integrated other brands into their websites.

These include other H&M own brand names like Monki, Arket and & Other Stories.

Shoppers have been thrilled to discover the increased number of options available.

And you can add them all into the same bag and they all get delivered to you at once.

Plus, you even get free delivery if you order over a certain amount.

Simply, head over to the main website or app and you can find items from other H&M owned brands too.

Items to avoid

While shoppers are often spoiled for choice when they pop into a H&M store, not everything is worth your money.

Shoppers in the past have slammed the quality of some H&M trousers, saying they’re not true to size or are see-through.

The same goes for jeans too, with some complaining of not fitting into their usual size at other shops.

Sizing has also been an issue for some shoppers when buying party clothes as well.

Buying items as soon as they come in with the seasonal stock change can also be a mistake because you’ll be missing out on the out-of-season bargains.

Of course whether you want to spend on something will depend on your personal taste so it’s always worth checking it out before you opt not to buy.

Meanwhile, here are five things to always buy at Primark – and four items to avoid.
