We’ve got some of the best dupes for high-end beauty brands, and some other simple ways to save.

CLEAN UP: Aldi is a great place to start, with its popular Lacura own brand. If you are partial to La Prairie caviar luxe cream (50ml) priced at £329.25 from allbeauty.com, why not swap it for the Lacura caviar illuminating day cream (50ml), costing £6.99. Also from Lacura, the original hot cloth cleanser (200ml) at £2.99 is a great swap for the Liz Earle cleanse & polish hot cloth cleanser (200ml), £22.40 from lookfantastic.com.

Superdrug also offers a low-priced version. Its Naturally radiant hot cloth face cleanser (150ml) is £7.99. Dupes at Boots are worth a look, according to moneysavingexpert.com, including the Glow pineapple serum (30ml), £4, instead of the Glow Recipe pineapple-C bright serum (30ml), £46, at cultbeauty.co.uk.

PROBLEM SALVED: Sub Glossier’s universal skin salve, Original Balm Dotcom (15ml), £10, for Skin Proud’s multi-use everything balm, down from £7.99 to £6.50 at asos.com. Other Asos Skin Proud items include Velvet Cloud foaming cleanser, down from £13.99 to £11.25, and Smooth Talk 2 per cent hyaluronic acid serum, down from £12.99 to £10.50.

WON’T COST THE EARTH: UpCircle makes products that are good for both you and the planet. Rather than splash out on Kiehl’s Midnight recovery concentrate, £33.60, try UpCircle’s Face serum with coffee oil (30ml) for £14.99. Check out its Cleansing face balm with apricot powder (50ml) for £18.99, as a replacement for Elemis’ Pro-collagen cleansing balm (50ml), priced at £27.

SCRUB UP WELL: Save the environment by hand-making reusable scrubbies. Pay £2.58 to get a downloadable pattern for crochet scrubbies at lovecrafts.com.

  • All prices are correct at the time of going to press. The deals and offers are subject to availability.
