AFTER weeks of rumours, it has finally been confirmed that Fortnite OG is finally happening.

Also known as Fortnite Chapter 1, a teaser image showing off the original Battle Bus was posted to Twitter late last week.

Labelled with the hashtag ‘Fortnite OG’, suspicions were further confirmed with a brand-new teaser.

With the headline “It’s time to go back…” the teaser officially revealed that the original map for Fortnite Battle Royale will make a comeback next season.

Thanks to the help of time travel, players will be thrown back to the OG map, which we haven’t seen in the game since October 2019.

However, during Chapter 1 the map went through some substantial changes, so the one that will be returning is actually the very first map from December 2017.

More in Fortnite

While the map is being rolled back, the general game mechanics won’t be.

Newer features like sprinting, sliding and mantling will more than likely see a comeback next season.

Fortnite Zero Build will also be available with new ziplines, and climbing wires being added to the old map for this mode.

There is no official news on what else will be coming, but leakers have given us a look at what we are likely to see.

People who are known to have leaked information about Fortnite accurately before have teased a return for items like the Shopping Cart and Turrets.

There will likely also be remixes of classic Fortnite skins, such as Peely, Team Leader and Ragnarok, available for players.

While none of these leaks have been confirmed, what we do know is that the new season will begin on Friday, November 3, 2023.

Downtime is expected for a number of hours before the new season begins, in order to update the servers.
