Ford Motor Co. said it plans to stop production of the F-150 pickup truck at a Missouri assembly plant for a week because of the global semiconductor-chip shortage, which continues to disrupt the automotive industry.

The move comes after the auto maker earlier this month stalled and trimmed production at several plants, including the one near Kansas City, Mo. Production of some of Ford’s most popular vehicles has been affected by the cuts, including the Ford Bronco and Ranger.
