TRYING to find the perfect pair of jeans can be hard work.
But it is Jeans For Genes Week from next Tuesday to September 26, when everyone is encouraged to wear denim to school or work and raise money for people with genetic conditions.
If you are hoping to take part but want the right fit without busting your budget, here is how to find the best discounted items.
SUPERMARKET SAVER: Struggling to find the perfect fit? George at Asda has eight styles so you can pick the one for your body type.
George denim has been raved about by fashion editors and starts at £15 per pair.
Always check the clearance section online though, as I found a couple of styles for better than half-price at £6.
CULT CLASSIC: Topshop’s Mom and Joni jeans are still incredibly popular, but skip seeking out styles at asos.com.
Here, they cost upwards of £30. Instead, check out the selection on Vinted. I found pre-loved versions in all colour options, starting at £15.
DESIGNER DEAL: Investing in quality can mean saving in the long run. Get up to 20 per cent off selected styles at levi.com, when you become a member.
Membership is free. Just sign up via the website and you will also get birthday discounts and more. That means £26 off the classic Levi 501 style, making them £104.

DENIM DISCOUNTS: Quality is always better than quantity but if you are really strapped for cash, log on to discount site everything5pounds.com.
Pick up men’s and women’s jeans for, you guessed it, £5. There is a £3.95 Royal Mail delivery fee, but that’s still a pair of jeans for less than a tenner.
REPAIR AND WEAR: Of course, you don’t have to buy something new. Repair tears in old denim jeans by cutting a bit of fabric from a hem, patching it over from the inside, and sewing it up.
You can get involved with Jeans for Genes by signing up for a fundraising pack at jeansforgenes.org.
