From fan heaters to electric blankets, here’s five energy-saving devices you can buy to stay warm for less this Chrimbo.
Microwaveable wheat heat wrap – £5

Wheat heat wraps can be found on the cheap and are great for keeping you warm while relieving any muscle stiffness or joint pain.
And The Works is selling a lavender tartan wrap for only £5 – you just have to pop it in the microwave then apply it where needed.

You can even use it for the opposite effect – by putting it in a plastic bag and then the freezer for two hours.
Bear in mind, if you want the wrap delivered to your home, you’ll have to pay a £3.99 fee, unless your basket ends up totalling more than £25.
Shoppers are full of praise for the wrap on The Works’ website, with one saying: “Lovely product. Helped me to relieve pain, easy to heat.”

Silentnight is selling a single-size heated electric blanket for £35 and Argos has it in its pre-Christmas sale for £28.
But new TopCashback customers who buy the gadget via the cashback website can get £20 off plus an extra 5% on top.
After all the discounts are applied, that means you’re getting it for just £6.83.
The device comes with three heat settings and costs just 1p an hour to run, according to the manufacturer.
There’s also a three-year guarantee and overheat protection.
It comes with plenty of good reviews on Argos’ website too.

It’s a classic, but still a goodie – blankets are one of the original ways to stay warm without bursting the bank.
Asda has reduced the price of one of its ones from £5 to £4 and you can collect it for free at your nearest branch. Delivery is from £3.50.

The blanket comes with “super soft fabric”, is machine washable and can also be tumble dried.
Don’t take our word for it though – Asda shoppers are full of positive reviews for the blanket.

Hot water bottle – £8

Hot water bottles are another easy way to stay warm without spending too much money.
B&M is selling one with a black fur cover for just £8 too, although you can’t order online so will have to head to your nearest store to see if they’ve got any.

The bottle has a 1.7litre capacity and is also available in other colours including pink, cream and grey.
Pifco Upright fan heater – £9.99

Home Bargains recently launched a number of energy-saving gadgets to keep you warm this winter.
That includes a Pifco two kilowatt upright fan heater scanning for just £9.99.
It costs from 27p an hour to run and also features an adjustable thermostat and overheat protection.
