PRIMARK has revealed the first designs from its Greggs clothing range, which includes bakery branded hoodies and sausage roll print pants.
The high street giants have teamed up to launch an 11-piece collection, which will be on sale in 60 Primark stores from Saturday, February 19.
Prices start at £7 for multipacks of sausage roll-themed socks or boxer shorts, rising to £16 for a pair of Greggs branded trainers.
Shoppers can snap up a blue logo t-shirt for £8 or a full Greggs tracksuit for £30.
You can also get matching sweatshirts, sliders and a bucket hat, with the colour palette matching Greggs staff uniform.
The collection will be available while stocks last so make sure you get to the shops before they sell out.
Reaction to the collection was mixed, with some fans praising the designs but others wondering if it was a joke.
“Greggs and Primark is a match made in heaven,” one customer said on Twitter, while someone else wrote “RIP my bank account”.
Another shared a photo of the white sliders emblazoned with the Greggs logo, adding: “OK I am digging this collab. I will be rocking these bad boys.”
But others weren’t as keen. One social media user wrote: “It’s not April 1 already, is it?”
“I’m really not feeling this collab,” another said.
“I don’t understand why you’d wanna wear clothing with Greggs written on it.”
As well as the clothing range, Greggs fans can visit the bakery’s biggest ever cafe inside Birmingham’s Primark store.
The branch, which opened at the weekend, seats 130 and sells all your favourite Greggs products including doughnuts and sausage rolls.
Raymond Reynolds, business development director at Greggs said last week that customers have always asked for merch.
“Fans can quite literally show their love for Greggs on their sleeves” now, he said.
Mr Reynolds added : “We’ve got some great pieces that we can’t wait to share.
“Our ‘Tasty by Greggs’ cafe will be the first of its kind, and will offer an exciting Greggs experience, underpinned by the great products and service that’s already delivered across all of our shops.”
Greggs isn’t the first unlikely brand to launch a fashion line.
Aldi has previously sold merch, with hoodies, pants and flip flops featuring its logo, and Lidl-branded trainers were flogged on eBay for double the price after they sold out in stores.
