You can read all about this year’s instalment in our FIFA 22 explainer but the game is live now.

FIFA 22 Ultimate pre-order customers and EA Play members have already had some hands-on time with the game.

Both were granted early access, but now the floodgate’s have opened and everyone can hop in.

FIFA 22 editions explained

There are two options when it comes to picking up FIFA 22, with the extras and Early Access being the main difference between them.

If you’re on a last-gen console and are expecting to upgrade soon, the Ultimate Edition comes with Dual Entitlement.

That means you get the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S version for free when you’re ready to upgrade.

Nintendo Switch players are getting something slightly different with the FIFA 22 Nintendo Switch Legacy Edition.

Essentially, it’s the FIFA 21 engine “without any new development or significant enhancements.”

However, it will have “an updated visual identity with a newly design in-game front end and menu screens.”
