When is Father’s day?

Father’s Day always falls on the third Sunday in June, which means this year it will be celebrated on 19 June.

Whether you are super organised, or have left your Father’s Day preparation to the last minute, a card is the ideal gesture to show hoe much your dad, stepfather, grandparent, or other father figure means to you.

What to say in a Father’s Day card?

It can stump a lot of people knowing what to write in a card, including what to say in a Father’s Day card.

Some may prefer to keep it short and sweet with a simple “Happy Father’s Day” message.

However, others may like to delve a little deeper with a more sentimental message, which could include reminiscing over fond memories you have shared, and thanking your parent for their love and support.

For those who really want to get creative, why not try your hand at poetry, to really score those extra brownie points.

How to make a Father’s Day card?

When it comes to making a Father’s Day card there are plenty of options on how to do so.

While some may simply turn to coloured A4 card, and draw an illustration on, others may wish to decorate their card with a selection of photos of their dad on the front.

For those who really want to let their creative juices flow, try cutting out sections of the card to reveal something behind, add 3D creations on top, or even pop out messages, or images when the card opens up.

We always love a bit of sparkle, so for a simple, yet effective touch, opt for metallic or colourful gel pens to write your message, or glitter pens and stickers for extra decoration. The options are endless.

What to write in Grandpa’s Father’s Day card?

What you would write in your Father’s Day card to your dad, can often be the same as what you would pen in the card to your grandparent too.

As a minimum wishing your grandad a “Happy Father’s Day” is essential in the card.

Similarly, you can choose to share your favourite memory you share with your grandparent, or your favourite thing about them.

What to write in your son’s Father’s Day card?

Writing a card to your son on Father’s Day may confuse some, but actually it’s a kind gesture for grandparents to do for their son when they have a child of their own.

Some parents may also wish to give their child a card on the special day, after all, without them they wouldn’t be able to celebrate the annual celebrations.
