Shoppers can pick up a sheep or lamb-themed version for £3.99 from the Specialbuys section of their nearest store from March 14.

But that means there’s limited stock so you’ll need to be quick if you’re keen on snapping one up for the kids, or even yourself.

Remember too Aldi doesn’t do delivery so you’ll have to head to your nearest branch.

You can find the one nearest to you by using the retailer’s online locator tool.

Aldi announced earlier this month the toy would be making its way to shelves within weeks, and shoppers could barely contain their joy.

One branded it “adorable” while another added: “I have no need for these…but I WANT them.”

A third avid Kevin fan added: “I can’t cope with these.”

It’s not the first time Aldi fans have been whipped into a frenzy over a Kevin-themed toy either.

The retailer, which currently runs over 1,000 UK stores, sent shoppers into a meltdown when it launched new Kevin the Carrot and William Conker toys last Christmas.

In 2022, some shoppers were found queuing up outside their local branches at 4am in a bid to snap up Kevin toys first.

Shopping discounts – How to make savings and find the best bargains

Others were forced into an online queue on the Aldi website.

And in previous years, actual fights have broken out in the aisles as parents fought to get their hands on them.

How to save money at Aldi

You might be planning on making the most of your trip to pick up a Kevin toy by grabbing some shopping as well.

If so, you should make use of some of our tips to help you save money.

It’s worth keeping an eye out for any red sticker products, which staff add to items when they’ve been reduced in price.

Aldi usually adds these to products in the morning so you should head to your nearest branch as early as possible for the best discounts.

Keep an eye out for slashed-price fruits and vegetables as well – the retailer tends to reduce six items every two weeks to “silly low” prices, according to deals expert Tom Church.

Get ahead of the crowd by signing up to Aldi’s newsletter and following the retailer on social media as well.

It often announces upcoming deals via the two channels so you can snap up the best prices before anyone else.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

If you’re looking to save money on takeaways, Aldi’s “fakeaways” could help too.

The retailer most recently launched a KFC-inspired box that it claims is 62% cheaper than the chicken joint.
