ALDI is bringing back 10 bill-busting gadgets within days – and they could save you up to £500 over the colder months.
The retailer, which was this week named the cheapest supermarket of 2023, is reintroducing a number of Specialbuys as the cold hits.

Shoppers will be able to snap up everything from electric blankets, to insulation wrap and draught excluders from January 14.
The electric blankets start from £16.99 and cost from just 1p an hour.
Meanwhile, customers will be able to snap up self-heating mattress toppers from £19.99 and insulation wrap for £12.99.
Aldi is then adding a further seven products to its middle aisle from January 16 and two more from January 24.

Customers will be able to buy the notorious £34.99 heated airer, which sold out in one week last November.
Plus, a double-size draught excluder costing just £1.99 to stop cold air infiltrating your home and an electric fan heater for £24.99.

Bear in mind all the returning products will only be available in your nearest Aldi store as the retailer axed online Specialbuy deliveries last July.

Because they’re Specialbuys, once the products are sold that’s it – so you should be fast if you want to bag one of them.
Some of them could save you hundreds of pounds on your energy bills too.
The electric blankets cost from just 1p an hour to run which mean you don’t have to blast the heating all night.
The average 24 kilowatt gas boiler costs £1.68 to run per hour, meaning you’re saving £13.36 during an eight hour sleep using the blanket instead of the heating.
Over the course of six weeks, that’s a whopping £561.12 saved.
Of course, always remember to shop around when buying one of the Specialbuys as you might find it cheaper elsewhere.
You can use the Google Shopping tab for a quick scan of what’s on offer at different retailers online.
Meanwhile, websites like Price Runner and Price Spy let you track how much a product has cost over the last year so you can see if you’re actually getting the best deal at the time.
How else to save money on bills
Opting for energy-saving devices is one way to save money during the colder months.
There’s also direct support available, depending on your circumstances.
A number of energy firms offer cash grants worth up to £1,500 if you’re struggling with your bills, including British Gas and Octopus.
Eligibility criteria varies depending on the company, but in most cases you’ll have to provide evidence you are in hardship, such as proof of household income or benefit entitlement.
Meanwhile, the Household Support Fund is available to thousands across England, with the latest round worth £842million.
What you are entitled to varies depending on where you live, but you usually receive help if you are on a low income or benefits.
Some households are being issued energy vouchers while others are receiving payments directly into their bank accounts.
