The claim will now be verified before the prize is paid out, and the ticket-holder will then decide whether to go public with their win.

Senior winners’ adviser at Camelot, Andy Carter, said: “Our focus is now on supporting the ticketholder through the process and helping them start to enjoy their truly life changing win.”

Any potential winner has just 180 days to come forward – or risk losing it all.

If the money isn’t awarded within that time, it’s donated to National Lottery projects and good causes across the country.
