Brits who live in Galashiels, Romford and Cleveland should rush for tickets – with the three locations standing the best chances of winning, stats show.

The areas have the highest numbers of top-tier winners – those earning over £50,000 – per head of the adult population since the National Lottery was first launched.

The National Lottery has now made over 6,100 millionaires in the UK.

And one lucky Brit is sitting on an incredible prize, as £11million is yet to be claimed from last Saturday.

The missing lotto winner’s name remains a mystery – with the only available info being that it was bought in a shop, rather than online.

After around two weeks, if the ticket still goes unclaimed, the area where it was purchased will be revealed.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “It’s just a week ago that this life-changing lotto jackpot prize was won.

“We’re asking Lotto players to check their tickets for the chance to see their wealth skyrocket.

“This could be a life-changing win for the lucky ticket-holder and we’re hoping that they will now come forward and claim their amazing prize.”
