Australia’s entire track and field team has been sent into isolation on the eve of the competition at the Tokyo Olympics after American pole vaulter Sam Kendricks tested positive for Covid-19.

All 63 members of the team were confined to their rooms and undergoing Covid testing on Thursday afternoon, less than 24 hours out from the start of track and field events on Friday in Tokyo.
