ELON Musk is in a no-win situation if his touted cage fight with Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg goes ahead, the Tesla tycoon’s dad has told The U.S. Sun.

The world’s richest man, Elon, who turns 52 later this month, and tenth wealthiest Zuckerberg, 39, last week appeared to confirm on social media that they will go toe to toe in a battle of the tech billionaires.

Weighing in on the proposed mixed-martial-arts matchup, Elon’s dad, Errol Musk, told The U.S. Sun that his son is facing “total humiliation” if he loses.

Speaking from his home in South Africa, retired electromechnical engineer Errol, 77, said: “The thing is if this crazy fight goes ahead, if Elon beats this guy, Elon will be called a bully, being so much heavier and taller, while if he loses the humiliation would be total.

“It’s a no-win situation for Elon.”

Elon is believed to have significant weight and height advantages over Zuckerberg in the tale of the tape.

Errol added that he and his family are “all quite worried” about the prospect of the fight.

He said: “Elon loses if he wins and loses if he loses.

“Wins, he’s a bully. Loses, he’s a loser.

“I think Elon has got himself into a difficult situation as a result of high school behavior. They both have.”

Musk wrote on his Twitter social media platform on Tuesday that he was willing to have a cage match fight with Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg then hit back with a screenshot of the tweet and the caption “send me location.”

Musk replied “Vegas octagon” in reference to Sin City-based MMA competition the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s trademarked fighting arena.

He also joked: “I have this great move that I call ‘The Walrus’, where I just lie on top of my opponent & do nothing.”

‘DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO GO FOR THE KILL’

Elon made his comment about wanting to fight Zuckerberg after responding to a report that Facebook parent company Meta is planning a Twitter rival called Threads.

He wrote: “I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options.”

When a fan teased that Musk better be careful because Zuckerberg now practices the martial art jiu-jitsu, he replied: “I’m up for a cage fight if he is lol.”

Last month, Zuckerberg announced that he had won medals at a Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament in Silicon Valley

He wrote in a Facebook post on May 6: “Competed in my first jiu jitsu tournament and won some medals for the Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu team.”

For his part, Musk previously told podcast superstar Joe Rogan that he had trained in taekwondo, judo, and karate when he was a kid and Brazilian jiu-jitsu as an adult.

Asked if his son can handle himself, Errol explained: “Elon aced purple belt in JKA (Japanese Karate Association), the best.

“But he does not know how to go for the kill. He cares too much.”

‘I GOTTA WORK OUT’

Elon said last year that he had lost 20lbs by “fasting periodically” after he was fat-shamed over pics of him shirtless on a yacht during a vacation in Greece.

Responding to the furor, Musk said at the time: “Tbh, it’s good motivation to work out, eat healthier & maybe take my shirt off outside more than once a year haha.

“I gotta work out and be in better shape.

“I actually don’t really like working out, but I gotta do it.”

Asked if he thinks Elon has been taking better care of himself lately, Errol said: “He’s probably been exercising.

“We always had an indoor gym, and he set one up there in his first home. Sauna and jacuzzi were always included.

“But we are academics and lovers, not street types.”

UFC president Dana White has said that he is working to make the Musk v Zuckerberg matchup a reality.

White, 53, predicted: “This would be the biggest fight ever in the history of the world, bigger than anything that’s ever been done.

“It would break all pay-per-view records.”

Discussing how likely the fight is to happen, White added: “Zuckerberg takes this very serious, man.

“He’s very into this sport, he trains and has been training for years.

“Now, he’s starting to compete in jiu-jitsu tournaments and the talks that I’ve had with Elon, Elon trained in martial arts, too.

“He’s done jiu-jitsu and he says: ‘Listen, I grew up in South Africa, I’ve been in a lot of fights. It’s not like I haven’t fought before.’

“You look at these two tech guys and nobody thinks that they can fight, but they want to, it’s real, and we’ll see how this thing ends up.

“You know me, I’m working on it.”
