AFTER what has been an incredible year for games, there is still plenty to come in 2024.

January is starting off with five big releases with a different genre for everyone.

It's a second chance to play The Last of Us Part 2.

Whether you’re more of a Last of Us fan, or a Tekken fighter, there’s sure to be a game you like.

Here are all of the biggest gaming releases coming in January 2024.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

The remake of Sands of Time may never see the light of day, but we will be able to play The Lost Crown.

A new take on the series, this is a 2D metroidvania rather than a 3D platformer, but first looks have been hopeful.

More in Gaming

With new protagonists, new environments and new bosses, we were looking forward to seeing the series’ new direction.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be released on January 18 for PC, PlayStation 5, PS4 Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

Another Code: Recollection

A niche series from the DS era has finally been revived after almost two decades.

While both games were well received, the series was not continued with the second game only landing on the Wii in Japan.

Now both games will be available in one package on Switch, and a little bit of gaming history will be preserved.

Another Code: Recollection will launch on January 19 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered

It is time for a The Last of Us remaster to release once more, but this time it’s the turn of the second part in the series.

Originally released in 2020, it first launched for the PS4, but is still playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility.

If you already own the PS4 version, you can upgrade for just £10, but it’s full price for new players.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will be released on January 19, exclusively on PS5.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the eighth game in the mainline Yakuza series, featuring new protagonist Ichiban Kasuga.

Only this time Ichiban is teaming up with long time main man Kazuma Kiryu in a whole new story.

Keeping the play style from Yakuza: Like A Dragon, this is a turn-based RPG with all the goofiness and mini games people play Yakuza for.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will launch on January 26 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Tekken 8

Last year, we were treated to Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat 1, and now it’s Tekken’s turn to enter the ring.

Almost nine years after Tekken 7, fans have been waiting for a new game in the series for a long time.

It will feature 32 fighters, and all new customisation features, for the biggest Tekken game ever.
