This is the “Teddy Bear” blanket set. It promises warmth and comfort like no other blanket on the market, and it’s available in a range of sizes.

A single set is currently priced at £11.20, while a super kingsize can be purchased for £22.40 – 30 per cent off from last year’s prices.

The blankets are also available in a variety of 20 different colours, from navy to green or red, but all of them promise to add a sense of cosiness and warmth to your bedroom.

Dunelm describes the set as: “Perfect for the colder Winter months, this bedding is snugly and soft.”

And plenty of happy customers have been gushing with agreement.

3,590 people have left five-star reviews, claiming to have thrown away their hot water bottles, electric blankets and the like.

One reviewer wrote: “Beautiful colour , good quality, lovely and warm. I can recommend and I’m very fussy.

“This is better than a very leading brand teddy bear cover.”

While another added: “Love Teddy Bear bed set. Cosy and comfy and no need for electric blanket.”

And a third said: “I was apprehensive buying a 100% polyester duvet set in case I’d be sweaty and uncomfortable, but this bedding is absolutely divine!

“It is so warm, cosy you’ll never want to get out of bed. My cat is also a HUGE fun. He’s never made biscuits like this before so a big paws up from him too!”

The price slash follows the news that Dunelm has been lowering the prices of 1,000 products since the summer.

Dunelm boss Nick Wilkinson said: “Dunelm is keen to pass on cost-reduction to help customers through the colder months, offering everyday low prices.”

The retailer said that customers were looking for new ways to cut energy bills and it had expanded its range of “winter warmers”.

Electric blankets have surged in popularity, while the retailer has also introduced a £15 faux fur hot water belt and a microwaveable “mono slipper” – designed to keep feet warm while working from home.

Sales of hoodies have also increased by over a quarter this year.

According to Mr. Wilkinson, traditional items like draught excluders and thermal curtains have continued to experience high demand.
