Can I get deliveries on Boxing Day?

Royal Mail

No, Royal Mail will be taking a break from deliveries today.

On their website they say: “No deliveries – Saturday collections only. Packages sent out today will not be delivered in time for Christmas.”

Hermes

Hermes will still be delivering, but ParcelShop Collection services won’t be running today.

DPD

DPD’s service will be shut today and run as normal tomorrow.

Unlike the other major postal operators whose services will resume on December 29, DPD will run normally on December 27 (then close on December 28 before normal reopening on the 29).

Yodel

Any Yodel deliveries will, unfortunately, have to wait!

Deliveries will not be taking place between Christmas Day & 28th December

DHL

DHL will not be delivering today and collection services are closed.

UPS

Deliveries won’t be running as normal today, but will be back up tomorrow.

Will post be delivered on Boxing Day?

Most services will cease delivery from December 25 to December 28.

Even the exception, DPD, will be taking Boxing Day off before getting back started tomorrow.

When does post and mail delivery return after Christmas?

Post and mail deliveries return as normal from December 29 this year, what with Boxing Day falling on a Saturday and the Bank Holiday rolling over to December 28.

There will also be no deliveries on New Year’s Day.

For those in Scotland, there will be no deliveries or collection on January 2, 3 and 4, so postal services resume on January 5.
