M&M fans mourn discontinued flavours

M&M fans in the use have shared their heartbreak at a beloved flavour being discontinued.

Chili Nut M&M had a relatively short shelf lifeline after the chocolate giant introduced the flavour in 2016.

The treat featured M&M’s standard chocolate-covered peanut but with a spicy hot kick.

The flavour was released to M&M fans for a limited time in a promotion contest alongside two other nut flavours – Coffee Nut and Honey Nut flavours.

However the product failed to win the vote and was ultimately discontinued.

“These were great, much better than the flavor that won,” one person wrote on X, previously known as Twitter.

Not the first Nestle treat axed this year

The Caramac bar was not the first Nestle treat to be sent to the chopping block this year.

Nestle also axed the beloved Carnation Extra Thick Cream and shoppers say the move has “ruined family desserts”.

The dessert favourite, popularly used for a topping or filling, was beloved amongst Brits.

Its production was phased out throughout 2023, but some shoppers still can’t get over the loss.

Social media users have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice their distress.

One wrote: “Come on Nestle ..do the right thing and reverse your decision to discontinue Carnation Thick Cream.”

Many flavours of Walkers’ crisps have come and gone over the years.

And during one period it felt like we were getting a weird and wacky new flavour every week.

This came as part of the “Do us a flavour” campaign, where Walkers asked members of the public to come up with ideas to add to their range of delectable fried snacks.

Here are just some of the different crisps the 2014 campaign created:

  • Cheesy Beans on Toast
  • Chip Shop Chicken Curry
  • Hot Dog with Tomato Ketchup
  • Pulled Pork in a Sticky BBQ Sauce
  • Ranch Raccoon
  • Sizzling Steak Fajita

Can you still get the bar?

While Nestle has confirmed no new Caramac bars will be produced, you might still have a chance to buy some.

Paula of Pastel Bakery said online: “So it’s a sad day, it’s official, there will be no more Caramac bars off the production line, it’s been cancelled so I bought as many boxes as I could!

“They should last a while (I hope) but once they are gone, there will be no more Caramac eclairs! And no Caramilk or Milkybar gold are not the same!!!  #dontcancelmycaramac.”

Be quick or risk missing out!
