A keen shopper spied the item online and was thrilled at the price.

Posting the find to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK  Facebook group, they said: “Sorry for mentioning the C word (Christmas) but Debenhams have 3 different styles of garland each for £28 down from £112.”

They shared a screenshot of the bargain showing the huge 75% reduction in price.

While it may still be a little early, bargain hunters were quick to comment on the post and make plans to head to check out the deal online.

One wrote: “Thank you I just bagged one.”

Another commented: “The garland is thicker/fuller than a lot I have seen and its LED lights are cute.”

While a third simply added: “It’s lovely.”

Debenhams said the 2.7m decoration will bring “glitter into your festivities” and make your home into a real winter wonderland.

The product description reads: “With our artificial Christmas garland hung over your door frame or entwined in your stair bannister, you can easily festoon your home with deep green mixed needles that give a cosy look.

“This is strung together with shimmering lights for a clean, woodland touch, creating the perfect decorative accessory for any blank space.”

You will only be able to buy this in stores as Debenhams closed all of its physical stores in May 2021 after falling into administration.

So remember that you will also have to pay a little extra for delivery.

Although do bear in mind that when prices are reduced by this much, stock usually goes fast so you may want to be quick if you want one for your home.

Keep in mind that it always pays to compare prices so you know you’re getting the best deal.

Plus, it’s only a deal if you were thinking of buying something similar already.

B&Q is selling a garland of the same length for £32, while Webbs Garden Centre has one for £34.99.
