COUPLES are sharing baths to save cash — but are being warned to keep it good, clean fun.

Getting saucy in the suds could cost them more in nine months, say saving experts.

One in six bath with a partner or friend, a poll shows.

The rate is higher in Bristol and Leeds.

Those in Liverpool, Nottingham, Manchester and London are shyest about soaping up with a pal.

Greg Marsh, boss of money-saving website Nous, said: “We can’t advise how much it would save, but get carried away and you may find your household costs increasing nine months later.”

One in four say they are limiting the number of showers they take — with women cutting back more than men.

Folk in Glasgow and Newcastle were most likely to whiff a bit as a result, the poll insists.

Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester were the cleanest.

Almost half of us say we are washing our clothes less often.

Mr Marsh added: “Millions are going to drastic lengths to make ends meet. For many, this is no laughing matter. But it is possible to save on bills if you know where to look.”
