A COSTA fan has revealed how you can get a free drink from Costa coffee using a 60p and it’s left people stunned.

And the key to hack is getting adorable babyccinos to rack up your Costa loyalty beans.

The savvy shopper has revealed how you can rack up beans quicker without spending the full £3 per drink on Facebook in the Extreme Couponing And Bargains UK group.

She said: “Not sure how well know this is, but I’ve just got three babyccinos for 60p each and got three beans towards my free drink!

“Normally costs at least £3 for a bean per one but tonight I got three for £1.80.

But that wasn’t all the shopper then discovered another hack to collect even more beans without spending a penny.

If you bring your own reusable when ordering a drink you’ll be given two beans instead of one.

This means after only five drinks in a reusable cup, you’ll earn one for free!

The Costa fan quickly edited her original post letting group members know of the second hack.

She said: “Been informed if you bring your own reusable cups you get another bean each so six or £1.80 instead of three – get a drink in no time.”

The post racked up over 100 likes and 50 comments and many group members said they had been using the hack already.

One user said: “I do this helps build the rewards quicker.”

Another said: “I only recently realised this too.”

“Shh don’t reveal the secret hack! If Costa gets wind they’ll cancel it” warned a third.

If you’re not familiar with the Costa Beans rewards scheme it’s a point scheme that rewards customers for their loyalty.

You can earn one bean on the Costa app every time you buy any size drink at the coffee shop.

For every 10 beans you collect, you’ll get a free medium-sized drink. With most drinks costing around £3 that means you’ll end up spending about £30 before you get a free drink.

But with this clever hack, you’ll end up spending less than half of that.

It’s important to remember that earned beans will only stay on your app for 12 months so make sure you use them up in time.

You can download the Costa Coffee app for free on your iPhone or Android.

Once downloaded you have to set up an account with your email address and password.

Meanwhile, you can find your nearest Costa branch by clicking the “Stores” button on the app. Or, you can use the store locator online.

If you have a birthday coming up you can use the “Free Birthday Treat” reward on the app to get a free cake, muffin or pastry.

You do not need to purchase an item to receive your free birthday treat.

Earlier this year fans were not pleased when they learned that the coffee chain would be giving customers a free drink after they collected 10 beans instead of eight.

Customers accused the brand of being “stingy” but Costa claimed the change was due to the rising cost of labour and packaging costs for coffee roasters.

The coffee chain revealed early this week that a selection of fan favourites would be returning to their Christmas range which launches next month.
