The actor’s husband says it is better for people to know about her diagnosis as she will continue to meet fans in future
The husband of actor Julie Goodyear, best known for playing Bet Lynch in ITV soap Coronation Street, has announced that she has dementia.
Scott Brand said: “My darling wife and I have had to come to terms with this heartbreaking diagnosis. Unfortunately, Julie has been suffering forgetfulness for some time.”
