The chocolate contains smooth Dairy Milk encased in a crispy white dusted icing sugar shell.

The treats come in new 296g bags and cost around £4.50 – but prices may vary depending on where you shop.

But shoppers can also get smaller 80g bags for £1.49 direct from the Cadbury store or from selected supermarkets.

In response to the news, one shopper said on Facebook: “The snowballs are in Asda – I saw them this morning.”

Another said: “The snowballs are something else.”

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas,” said a third fan of the sweet treat.

Cadbury’s dubbs the sweet treat the number one-selling Christmas novelty bag in the UK.

The sweet treat giant has also recently announced a number of new and returning products hitting shelves for the festive season.

Cadbury has launched a chocolate buttons selection box with four sharing bags – each with a different flavour.

These are milk chocolate, salted caramel, caramilk and orange.

On top of that Cadbury will also be bringing back some old favourites including Cadbury Orange Winter crisp Bar and the Cadbury Chunk collection.

Last week, fans were also elated to see that the confectionary giant has relaunched its Christmas chocolate coins.

Cadbury discontinued the chocolate coins in 2014, arguing that the treats weren’t profitable because supermarkets sell their own cheaper versions.

Fans proclaimed that the decision had “ruined Christmas” and some even made petitions demanding the coins made a comeback.

After almost a decade, Cadbury stunned everyone by announcing that the golden coins would return to shelves this Christmas.

Cadbury isn’t the only brand to delight fans by bringing back its retro favourites.

Muller is bringing back its Mississippi Mud Pie flavour in September.

While Pizza Hut recently announced the return of two discontinued menu items after nearly a decade.

And McDonald’s recently announced the return of an iconic freebie and fans were going wild.

And shoppers are only just realising an iconic 90s discontinued food is back in supermarkets.
