While spending more on fuller bouquets is a sure way to wow your partner, those pinching pennies are not out of luck.
However, plenty of places offer Valentine’s Day deals to spoil your loved one while watching your wallet.
As always, Valentine’s Day always falls on February 14 which is on a Tuesday this year.
So, make sure you order your flowers or bouquets before any cut-off periods.
For inspiration, we’ve compiled a list of places to shop around and compare deals to ensure you’re getting the most cost-effective option, starting with stores.
Aldi
The discount retailer has a few different deals for shoppers looking to spend on their loved ones.
The first is in-store only starting on 11 February for the Valentine’s Dozen Red Roses.
Priced at just £3.99, shoppers will get 12 roses from Beautiful Blooms.

Shoppers can also grab one single rose for £1.99 each.

Lidl
Beginning on 11 February, Lidl customers can score flowers starting as low as £2.99.
The Deluxe Red Posy can be purchased at the price as well as the Harlequin Rose.
For £4.99, shoppers can grab their loved one the standard dozen red roses or the Valentine’s Day tulips.
The Bear Hugs Bouquet in red or pink is priced at £5.99 while Valentine’s Gift Bag, Classic Red Roses, and Sweetest Crush Bouquet are £9.99.
Lidl is also offering other higher-priced flower deals like the Double Dozen in red or pink for £11.99, Freedom Roses for £19.99, or the Just for You Bouquet priced at £24.99.
Tesco
Shoppers may want to sprint to Tesco as it is offering flower deals that start at just £2.50.
The medium Spray Carnation bouquet can be purchased for £2.50 price while a small bouquet of roses is just £3.
Shoppers can choose from yellow, pink, or red and orange.
The larger rose bouquets start at £5 and are also offered in the same colours.
Starting at £6, you can grab the rose and lily bouquet although colours may vary.
Sainsbury’s
The giant retailer is offering dozens of deals of flowers for your special someone.
Shoppers can grab a Rose Duo for £8 which includes eight roses with extra bits of green and other fillers.
You can also score long-stem roses in multiple colours like yellow, white orange, pink, or red for £5.
For those looking for a colourful bunch of roses, shoppers can the Rainbow Roses for £10.
The store also has mixed spray carnations for £4, mixed oriental lilies for £6, and an Alstroemeria Abundance for £5.
Morrisons
In-store from February 11-14, Morrisons is offering three deals on specific bouquets starting at £4.99 and going up to £30.
Those watching their wallets may want to try the dozen red roses for just £4.99.
If you’re looking at getting something larger and able to spend more, the Pure Love Bouquet is priced at £14.99.
If you’re able to, the Best Valentine’s Rose and Lily can be yours for £30.
Other deals include the Hot Pink bouquet for £9.99, Pastel Roses for £9.99, or the Best British Valentines Tulips for £7.99.

From 11 February, shoppers can score flower deals like the Asda My Sweetheart Roses start for £5.

M&S
While it may not be the cheapest option, M&S does provide free shipping when ordering.
Some of the more affordable choices to pick from are the Rose Trough for £25, and the Heart Orchid also priced at £25.
Shoppers can also grab the standard dozen red roses for £25.
For £10 more, you can get the standard dozen roses with chocolate bundles.
The Seasonal Flowers Posy will set you back £35 but comes with a mix of seasonal blooms like ranunculus, tulips, and anemones.

Online florists like Bloom & Wild, Interflora, and Floom typically offer decent prices for the special day.

What if I’m unhappy with my flowers?
If you’re unhappy with the flowers you’ve ordered online, there are some things you can do about it.
Consumer group Which? advises you to take the following steps in order to grab a refund:
- Take a picture as evidence of poor condition or damage to your flowers to support your complaint.
- If a loved one or friend has sent you flowers that have arrived in a poor condition or late, tell them. Otherwise, the retailer may say they can’t access the order information and won’t resolve the problem.
- If you receive fewer amount of flowers than you ordered, you’re entitled to a partial refund for the missing flowers.
