THE end is nigh – and for once it is a good thing.
Lockdown home-schooling is finally coming to a close for many parents and that’s worth celebrating.
Why not treat your family to an easy at-home feast with a takeaway-style meal deal?
These treats are easy to cook and cost a fraction of many takeaway favourites . . .
NOT MUCH DOUGH: Pizza-Express fans can enjoy an at-home fix with two restaurant-inspired pizzas, side order and drink for just £7 with its tasty Cook At Home range.
The offer is available at Asda until June and you can choose from PizzaExpress Classic Margherita, Classic American, Classic Sloppy Giuseppe and Original Dough Balls with Garlic Dip.
SAVING: £5.50 on buying items separately
DOMINO’S EFFECT: Domino’s fans can get a similar taste at home, and for less, thanks to Aldi. You can copy the cookies, dips and sides too. A Carlos Take-away Stuffed Crust Pizza is just £1.49 and the 99p garlic bread and 49p Garlic and Herb Dip are savvy steals.
But my favourite is Aldi Carlos Takeaway Chewy and Gooey Cookies, at £1.49, cheaper than Domino’s cult cookies at £4.49. This full takeaway menu from Aldi comes in at £6.25, while the full works at Domino’s can cost around £40.
SAVING: Up to £33.75
MACS-IMUM TASTE: McDonald’s lovers can now buy Big Mac-style burgers to cook at home straight from the freezer. Iceland’s Snacksters Big Stack burgers, £1.50, look just like the McDonald’s fave and taste amazing.
There’s also a Spicy Stack Burger, a chicken burger with hash brown and cheese. A real Big Mac is £3.29, or from £4.99 as part of a meal, though prices can vary.
SAVING: £1.79 on a single burger
CHICK BAIT: I love a KFC but you can get a similar experience for a lot less. Pop to Asda where you can nab a Breaded Boneless Chicken platter for just £4 (or three platters for £10).
It’s full of boneless fillets and tasty southern fried bites. A similar boneless selection from KFC usually costs around £16.99.
SAVING: £12.99
Deal of the day

BARGAIN boxes of food for sale at clickmarketplace.co.uk contain goods at a fraction of supermarket prices.
The March Mega Haul Box has 110 items including crisps, biscuits, drinks, cleaning products and cooking supplies. Its total value is £89.99 but it’s yours for just £29.99.
Cheap treat
ENJOY a Viennetta dessert for just £1 at Sainsbury’s, usually £1.65.

What’s new
CADBURY has released a limited-edition Creme Egg-flavoured beer.
It has teamed up with Goose Island brewers to make the sweet-flavoured stout.
The cans are in packs of two for £10 at gooseislandshop.com and would make a great Easter treat.
Top swap
THE Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat pencils, £17, are a cult beauty buy that I love, but I’ve been saving pounds by switching to Essence Stay 8H Waterproof Lipliners, just £1.80 at Wilko.
