Experts advising the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on vaccines recommended Thursday that children age 5 to 11 receive the newly authorized Covid-19 booster shot from Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE.

The recommendation, in a 11-1 vote, with one abstention, will guide doctors, schools and local policy makers advising parents of the 28 million U.S. children in the age group.
