Call of Duty players are receiving a big boost on Xbox and PC

Call of Duty is one of the biggest games on the planet releasing on multiple platforms.

You can buy it on XboxPlayStation or PC, and all platforms will give you a similar experience.

Similar but not equal, as some versions receive exclusive items, and others have improved graphics or playability.

However, Xbox has now purchased Call of Duty maker Activision Blizzard for a massive $69billion (£55billion), meaning that it now owns the IP.

As part of the acquisition Xbox has promised that Activision Blizzard games will have parity across all consoles.

This means that every version of Call of Duty will be exactly the same, no matter which console you own.

PlayStation released bundle with free gift

Sony released a new PS5 bundle to tempt gamers – and one retailer has thrown in a free gift too.

The gaming giant has cut the cost of the console in recent months with a number of bargain prices popping up.

Fans had the opportunity to purchase the console alongside the new MW3 game with a free bucket hat.

This offer has now unfortunately sold out but you can find more bargain bundles on the site.

Fans review the game

Hundreds of fans who rushed to play the new release this morning have shared their thoughts online.

Taking to X, one wrote: “Nothing more than a DLC. Sad gamers were taken advantage of this year.”

A second said: “I really like the zombies, it runs like butt sometimes but all in all 7.5/10.”

However, many are pleased with the game with one saying: “Amazing game to play.”

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 review

Call of Duty is all about bombastic battles and explosive set pieces, as you rush from cover to cover and missiles drop in your wake.

However, in Modern Warfare 3 the stakes have never been lower, and the heart of the series is nowhere to be found.

Modern Warfare 3 live
