People have been in uproar lately as they’ve polished off an entire tin of chocolate Roses without coming across a single one of the Orange Cremes.

Social media has seen plenty of festive faces asking were the usual top chocs have got to as in previous years the orange flavours have always gone down a treat.

One post on X said: “Anyone else discovering a distinct lack of Orange Creme’s in tubs of Cadbury Roses? Shocker! What’s going on @CadburyUK?

“This is the second tub I’ve encountered with this problem.”

While another posted: “Disappointed with my tub of Roses @CadburyUK 0 orange chocolates. Zero. Nada. Zilch. They’re my faves.”

Many fans of the chocolate tubs have had similar experiences this festive period as families begin to crack open the lids.

Orange Cremes have been a staple part of the tubs for decades and make up one of the nine flavours people love to unwrap and devour this time of year.

But finally the mystery behind the disappearing orange chocs has been revealed and the real reason is much more simple than you’d expect.

Cadbury’s official X account replied to one of the messages saying: “Hi, this year, a small percentage of Cadbury Roses products will not contain any Orange Cremes due to supply chain challenges.

“But don’t worry, you’ll still be able to enjoy the same amount of chocolate as usual as we’ve replaced them with our much-loved Strawberry Cremes.”

The responses to the post has drawn some criticism with many feeling picking Strawberry Cremes as the replacement is pretty uninspiring.

Someone wrote: “This isn’t very good I only look forward to the orange ones!”

As a second said: “Who wants to eat a Strawberry Creme? No one.”

One even asked: “What if you don’t like strawberry…”

This controversial move comes just days after a curious bloke called Charlie Murphy started sharing numerous videos comparing Christmas chocolates, and counting the flavours in each one.

But in one of the clips, he revealed his anger after noticing that there were none of his favourite tangy orange chocolates in the tub.

Named after chocolatier Dorothy Cadbury’s favourite flower, Roses, have become a Christmas chocolate staple.

The tubs even include miniature chunks of Cadbury’s signature Dairy Milk chocolate.

Most major retailers stock 600g and 900g tubs as well as 357g cartons and 290g pouches.

Shoppers can expect to enjoy over 60 chocolates in the 600g tubs and 90 in the 900g tubs.

But prices vary across retailers, and Cadbury Roses can be found for as little as £2.99 and as much as £11.89 depending on where you shop.

Prices may vary day to day as well depending on what deals are on, so make sure you check and look at delivery costs too if you’re ordering online.

Elsewhere, Cadbury shoppers were crying “that SUCKS!” – after the company confirmed that the “best chocolate bar it’s ever made” has been discontinued.
