Is B&Q open over the May Bank Holidays?

B&Q will be open as usual until 8pm on May 1, with stores opening at either 7am or 8am across the UK.

The same goes for May 8, the day of King Charles’ coronation, and May 29.

It’s always worth checking your local store for its specific opening hours though.

You can do this by using B&Q’s store locator on its website.

Are shops closed on May Bank Holiday?

The short answer is no.

Most shops around the UK will remain open across the May Bank Holidays, so those who are enjoying their day off are able to buy supplies to celebrate.

However, some stores may change their usual opening and closing times so it is important to go on their websites to double-check to avoid disappointment.
