The Queen’s funeral has been declared a Bank Holiday.

It is down to individual businesses to decide whether or not to close on the day – but many are choosing to do so out of respect.

We explain whether or not Boots will be open on the September Bank Holiday.

What are the Boots opening times over the Queen funeral Bank Holiday?

Boots is set to close most of its branches, according to reports from Chemist + Druggist.

A few will remain open to provide pharmacy services, but will close during the hours of the funeral.

The Queen’s funeral will start at 11am at Westminster Abbey.

You should check your local store opening hours for accurate information.

You can find all the individual opening times for each shop using the store locator tool.

Usually, Boots stores are open from as early as 7am and close between 8pm and 10pm.

Is Boots delivering over the Bank Holiday?

Boots uses standard delivery services to get all your makeup and health essentials delivered straight to your home.

But as Boots is closing the majority of stores on the Bank Holiday, it is unlikely you’ll get your package delivered on the day.

When it is dispatched you should receive an estimated delivery date but this may not be until after the Bank Holiday.

When are the Bank Holiday dates for 2022?

There are only a few bank holidays left this year.

These are the remaining bank holidays in 2022:

  • Sunday, December 25 (Christmas Day)
  • Monday, December 26 (Boxing Day)
  • Tuesday, December 27 (Christmas Holiday)

Due to Christmas falling on a Sunday, we have a substitute day on Tuesday 27, 2022, to enjoy off.

Dates in Scotland and Northern Ireland vary.
