BOOTS’ Christmas advert features the heartwarming story of a girl’s journey to the North Pole – and there’s one iconic and hilarious moment.

The ad, entitled “Thank you, Santa“, chronicles the girl and mother’s quest to get a gift to the pot-bellied figure.

Armed with a Boots shopping bag, the pair cross land, sea and air, helped along the way by a number of kind strangers who are offered gifts as a thanks.

A pilot receives a Dyson Airwrap, while a train conductor receives a Benefit Volumizing Mascara, but the finale of the clip conjures up the most iconic moment.

The pair reach their intended destination, finding Santa’s very own chimney to drop a present down, but it’s not the kind of gift you’d except – a pair of travel flight socks.

Directed by award-winning director Sam Brown, the ad is set to the soundtrack “I’m Gonna Get There Somehow” by Val Doonican and will air for the first time on ITV this evening.

It comes after Boots launched its Christmas lines in-store and online.

Through the partnership, the retailer will donate 100,000 hygiene products to the charity which will be distributed to people in need.

The ad featured an unwitting customer who stumbles across magic glasses that revealed iconic moments including a woman bathing in a candle-lit room and a celeb hitting the red carpet.

It’s not the only retailer to release a Christmas ad this year either.

Waitrose unveiled its advert yesterday, featuring beloved British chat show host Graham Norton.

Meanwhile, Argos’ captures an iconic moment every member of the family is bound to have experienced before.

Asda’s amusing Christmas video teases iconic jazz and soul singer Michael Bublé.
