BOOTS has launched its 70% off clearance sale and you can get money off gift sets and Yankee candles.

The sale begins today and also includes popular brands like Ted Baker, Sanctuary and FCUK.

The retailer typically slashes prices in January each year to clear leftover Christmas stock.

However, the sale was delayed this year due to the coronavirus crisis.

Instead the sale launches today but it is in stores only, so you’ll have to make the trip out to the shops to bag the bargain prices.

Boots has more than 2,300 stores across the UK and you can find your nearest one by using its store locator tool.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.

Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.

Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.

CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

Because of the cheap prices the discount buys will only be available as long as stocks last so it’s best to be quick if you want to get your hands on any.

The men’s wash set includes a 150ml body spray as well as a hair and body wash at 250ml.

Amazon has the set listed for £15 so the gift due is nearly five times as cheap in the Boots sale.

Champneys Awaken Travel Set

The travel set includes four products including body cleanser and hand cream in portable sizes, as well as a stylish carry case to store them in.

You can get this set on Amazon too for nearly £13 which would have been cheaper before Boots slashed the price.

Now with today’s saving the set is £7.81 cheaper than Amazon’s £12.99 one.

And while the online retailer is offering free delivery, a perk if you can’t make the trip out to the shops to Boots, it will take around five days to arrive at your door.
