Two B&M stores will be closing this Sunday and another will follow on March 29.

The B&M in Boucher Road, Belfast, will close up shop on March 26.

But, it’s good news for shoppers because a new shop will actually be opening in the area this Friday (March 24).

The new location is said to be “bigger and better” than before and will offer a wider range of branded products.

The retailer closed its Stockton store in the Castlegate Shopping Centre a few weeks ago too.

Its closure was due to it being moved over to a new site in the area which has now opened in Portrack Lane.

B&M is known for hosting huge sales when its shops shut so it’s definitely worth keeping an eye out if one is shutting near you.

Most recently, the B&M store in Maesglas Retail Park, Newport, Wales closed for good on Saturday, March 4 and shoppers were quick to snap up some bargains in its closing down sale.

Some lucky customers spotted huge discounts and some items for as little as 10p.

It’s not the first time that B&M has hosted the major discounts before closing down stores.

B&M slashed prices by as much as 75% before it shut up shop on Southgate Street in Gloucester in July last year.

There were similar discounts at a B&M store located in Rugby’s Clock Towers Shopping Centre when it closed in 2021.

The discount retailer currently has over 700 stores, and are continuing to expand with the long-term target of 950 stores in the UK – it confirmed to The Sun.

It opened a brand new store and garden centre in Barnsley a few weeks ago.

The chain has also confirmed that there will be “a number of openings” over the next few months, although can’t provide any more details at this time.

B&M isn’t the only retailer opening and closing stores this year.
