The popular gadget first hit the shelves of B&M last year and was an immediate hit with fans.

It works like a sandwich press and has automatic temperature control, it also has an indicator light to let you know when your sausage rolls are done cooking.

Shopping discounts – How to make savings and find the best bargains

You can make your own sausage rolls at home and cook them, but do bear in mind you’d need to pick up the ingredients separately.

Our reporter, Ellie, tested the item last year, you can find out what she thought of her homemade sausage rolls here.

Although we think the B&M sausage roll maker will be a tough deal to beat, we did have a look around to see what other retailers are offering.

B&Q has “The Hairy Bikers” sausage roll maker online knocked down from £35 to £20.

If you prefer pies to sausage rolls, Argos has a deep pie maker for £31 on its website.

However, we couldn’t find anyone to beat the B&M deal for £3.

You can compare prices across different retailers using price comparison sites such as Google Shopping and PriceSpy.

If you are a sausage roll fan but don’t fancy making your own, you might want to pop along to Iceland.

The frozen food specialist has a host of Greggs items in the freezer section including sausage rolls.

You can pick up a pack of four Greggs sausage rolls for £3 or a pack of eight for £5.95.

The retailer also has steak bakes that are £3 for two, and a four-pack of Vegan sausage rolls for £3.

Meanwhile, we recently revealed that Greggs has plans to open six more outlet stores this year.

The bakery giant currently has 35 outlet shops open across the UK and hopes to have 50 by the end of 2025.

Greggs Outlet stores stock some of the chain’s most popular items including the much-loved sausage roll – but the prices are up to 75% cheaper.

Other ways to save at B&M

There is a secret hack to finding cheap deals in B&M and it saves shoppers hundreds of pounds.

All you need to do is download the retailer’s app and start using the scanner.

The B&M scanner lets you see if an item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.

Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.

The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.

According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.

This is when staff slash items to as little as 10p to clear excess stock and make way for new products.

What is the B&M scanner app?

SAVVY shoppers are using an app to find better discounts in stores.

Here’s how you can join the B&M bargain hunt:

  • Download the B&M app for free on any smartphone with an App Store or Google Play.
  • Once you’ve installed it on your device, click on the option labelled “more” on the bottom, right-hand side of the app home page.
  • You’ll then find an option that says “barcode scanner”. Click on this and you’ll open a camera screen.
  • Use the camera to hover over the barcode of the product you wish to check.
  • If the price comes up as lower, take it to the cash desk and it will automatically scan at the lower price.
  • You don’t need to sign up to the B&M app to use the barcode scanner.
