B&M shoppers have been rushing to buy a “bargain” household essentials scanning at tills for just £1 instead of £25.

The discount store is selling a Blaupunkt Free Glide Power Iron for just a quid – £24 cheaper than its original price.

A keen shopper spied the item in their local store and was thrilled at the price.

Posting the find to the B&M Scanner And Other Bargains Facebook group, they said: “A bargain! About time, seems like there’s never much these days.”

Fellow bargain hunters were quick to comment on the post and make plans to head to their nearest B&M to bag one.

One commented: “Yay! Great find well done.”

While another savvy shopper wrote: “I need one of these!”

The iron is cordless with a quick-heat function and a non-stick, ceramic coated plate.

We couldn’t find this item for sale on the B&M website, so you may have to visit your local store if you want to take advantage of the discount.

Prices are reduced by this much it’s usually in order for stores to clear excess stock, so prices and stock will vary from store to store.

The B&M barcode scanner app allows you to discover discounted items before the staff has even reduced them.

The scanner is located on the B&M Stores mobile app, which can be downloaded for free on your smartphone.

Shoppers can download it on the App Store or Google Play.

But before you head to your local stores, it’s always worth shopping around in case you can find better deals elsewhere.

We couldn’t find a barstool for as little as £1, we did come across a
Cordless non stick steam Iron for £14.95 at B&Q.

Currys is also selling a Beldray cordless iron for £26.99, reduced from £30.99 – a saving of £4.

Remember that if you order online, you will have to pay a bit extra for delivery.
