B&M shoppers are rushing to buy a dupe of the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser that’s £75 cheaper.

The Heat and Eat chocolate drink maker costs £25 and gives “silky smooth hot chocolate every time”.

The chocolate maker is perfect for frothing up milk for your coffee or hot chocolate drink.

All you need to do is add your milk to the frother and select the level of froth that you would like.

It is also easy to clean as it has a non-stick coating so you only need to rinse out with water.

One savvy shopper who had snapped up the bargain shared their find to the Facebook group Snack News & Reviews and the post quickly gathered comments:

One person said: “I would like this”.

Another added: “This would be brilliant definitely need to get one”.

While a third commented: “This is what I want!”

The Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser is on the John Lewis website for £99.99, it comes in three different finishes and two podcups.

But if that is a little out of your budget the B&M version might be a good choice as it is £75 cheaper.

However, not everyone is convinced that saving a few quid is worth it in the long run.

One person commenting on the post said: “Had one of these, had to take it back as it broke after the second use”.

Another added: “Had one it broke – spend your money on better quality”.

As always, it is good to shop around to make sure you are getting the best deal and a product that is right for you.

There are quite a few options at different price points when it comes to frothers.

Not all are as cheap as B&M but neither are they as expensive as the Hotel Chocolat velvetiser.

Robert Dyas has a Salter electric milk frother online for £39.99 reduced from £79.99.

Argos also has a similar model for £45, and supermarket Morrisons has a home milk frother for £23 on its website.

Remember you can use price comparison websites such as Google Shopping to compare the prices across different retailers.

The B&M velvetiser is listed online although you cannot buy through the website.

To find your nearest B&M you can use the locator tool on the site, but remember stock is not guaranteed to be in all stores so it is best to check ahead.

Other ways to save money at B&M

B&M customers love sharing their shopping hauls and some say they have saved hundreds of pounds with one simple hack.

The B&M barcode scanner lets you see if an item is priced cheaper than advertised on the shelves.

You can find the scanner on the B&M app, which can be downloaded for free on your smartphone.

Once you have downloaded app, click on the “scan” button at the bottom of your homepage.

This will then bring up the camera on your smartphone, which you’ll need to use to scan barcodes.

When you have found a product that you want to scan, simply point your smartphone camera toward its barcode.

The app will then automatically bring up the item’s price – this is when you’ll know if it is reduced or not.

Bargain hunters say some items come up as £1, 50p or even 10p through the app.

For example, professional bargain hunter Holly Smith previously explained how she bagged a LOL Surprise game for £1 instead of £10 by using the app.

Not all items will scan at a lower price – usually it is seasonal items or old stock that are reduced.

The scanner even has its own Facebook group with a 200,000-strong membership page called ‘B&M scanner and other bargains‘ helping people share incredible deals they have found.

We previously spoke to one mum who managed to find a Spiderman toy for just 10p, plus another woman who managed to find cushions reduced to 10p with the scanner.
