B&M shoppers have gone wild after a “banging” retro sweet based on an iconic candy flavour was spotted on shelves.

The variety store chain is now stocking Giant Cables just in time for Christmas.

The 50cm long treats are part of a collab with Millions – a brand known for its “Tiny Tasty Chewy Sweets”, according to its website.

One B&M shopper uploaded an image of the sugary snacks onto the Newfoodsuk Facebook group, with the packaging revealing the five flavours on offer.

The Millions Giant Cables now come in banana, bubblegum, strawberry, apple and watermelon flavours.

And other fellow shoppers could barely contain their excitement over the brand new item up for grabs.

“Omg!!!” one person said.

“These ones sound banging,” added another.

“I need that in my life,” chimed a third.

One person even highlights how kids would “love” them and they’d be the perfect stocking fillers for Christmas.

If the comments from B&M shoppers are anything to go by, then anyone looking to get some for themselves are advised to be quick to avoid missing out.

While the exact price of the sweets wasn’t confirmed, one person replied to the Facebook post claiming they were £2.50.

Another also added that they were £1.99 in Heron Foods, so it may be worth looking around first in case you can find them cheaper.

With Cable Sweets being a retro confectionary item, it’s unlikely you’ll find them in many places – especially the new one’s with Millions.

Websites like Oh Sweetie, Candy Obsession and Simway Sweets are all found to be selling the treats, but you’ll have to pay a minimum of £6.

As a result, we recommend heading to your local B&M store to try your luck there.

Not only are you guaranteed to get it cheaper, but you can get it much quicker than you would from ordering it online.

Just a few weeks ago, shoppers were once again rushing to B&M to buy their favourite chocolate set for just £1.20.

The bargain retailer slashed the price of their medium-sized Santa Selection Box with major savings on offer for punters.

More recently, customers were going wild for new Quality Street chocolate bars priced at just 59p – they couldn’t get enough of them.

They come in the purple one and orange crunch flavours and are available at retailers like Asda, B&M, Iceland and Sainsbury’s.
