The original flavours have also made a return, including strawberry, lemon, orange and lime.

The main difference between the two products is that Starburst includes a combined lemon and lime sweet, plus a blackcurrant chew.

B&M took to Twitter to share a photo of the tasty treats to spread the news that the sweets are now available in store.

The tweet said: “We have opal fruits if anyone is interested.”

They were available at PoundlandB&MHome Bargains, Iceland, Savers and The Range.

B&M is known for stocking unusual flavours of sweets and chocolate.

The retailer has previously sold Mint Cookie Fudge, Gold Krisp, Gooey Caramel and Gold KitKats, as well as a Milkybar Whirl which couldn’t be bought anywhere else.
