B&M fans are not sure what to think after spotting an unusual bottle of gin on shelves.

The bargain retailer posted a picture of a curious new flavour, attracting a lot of divided opinion.

B&M has released mince pie-flavoured gin – but not everyone is quite convinced.

The shop posted a picture of the bottle to social media, captioning it: “We took this bottle home with us (after paying of course) and tried it… it tastes incredible!

“It definitely gets our seal of approval, and you don’t even need too much tonic with it!”

But fans in the comment section couldn’t decide whether they liked it. Some people were excited, with one person tagging a friend and writing: “We need to try this one!”

Another said: “A new one to try!”

But many joked about it. One wrote: “I’m not sure how I feel about this one”

Another teased: “Not sure I fancy mince pie flavoured gin?!”

A third criticised: “Why is this even a thing?”

And one more simply said: “Oh wow.”

The 70cl bottle costs £19.99 and is available in stores only, though you can view it on the B&M website.

It’s pricier than other gins in stock, including a 70cl bottle of Gordon’s Passionfruit gin for £14.99 and a 700ml Baileys Tiramisu bottle for £15.99.

Remember to look up “B&M store locator” if you want to go and have a look for yourself – though stock may be subject to availability.

But if it’s caught your eye, remember to shop around. There could be cheaper items which are similar on sale elsewhere.

To compare to other supermarkets, Asda does a 50cl bottle of mince pie gin for £3.84.

Tesco does a 70cl bottle of Opihr Oriental spiced gin for £23.

There are also a few gin advent calendars floating about, if that’s what you like.

Aldi‘s Haysmith Gin Advent Calendar will be out on October 30 for £39.99. It’ll be out both in-store and online.

But instead of containing 24 mini bottles, this time it’s only 12 – meaning it costs approximately £3.33 per 5cl bottle.

John Lewis also has a gin and tonic festive calendar for £60 – and it contains 24 bottles.

That’s only £2.50 per bottle.

Asda also does one for £50 with a selection of gins from Beefeater to Edinburgh Gin included.

But Aldi also has another calendar out on October 30.

It’ll be selling a mini collection of elegant whites, reds and fruity wines for £59.99.

But do note it’s only available online, so you’ll need to factor in delivery costs.

It might cost more to get it sent home if you live further away.

Last year’s version sold for £49.99, but prices are on the constant rise across the board as inflation remains high.

There are 24 bottles in the box, which means they cost roughly £2.49 each – the same price as a mini Campo Viejo Tempranillo Rioja from Tesco.
