The Guardian’s David Smith asked Jen Psaki about Joe Biden’s meetings with Queen Elizabeth and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson when he travels to the UK for the G-7 summit this month.
Psaki said Biden’s meeting with Johnson would allow the two leaders to reaffirm the “special relationship” between the US and the UK while discussing the many issues that impact both countries.
Jen Psaki said she did not consider Monday to be the deadline for reaching a bipartisan deal on an infrastructure bill.
The White House press secretary said Joe Biden will “continue to have conversations with Democrats and Republicans about what the path forward may look like”.
