Best Valentine’s Day flowers 2022: Where to buy the cheapest roses and bouquets

If you’re looking for the best valentine’s day flowers for 2022, this is where to buy the cheapest roses and bouquets.

Whether you’re looking for something a bit different, or want to keep things classic with red roses; there a bouquet for everyone.

Bouquets can start from around £25 with delivery – and some include chocolates and cards in that price, so it’s worth shopping around for deals.

In general, you’ll find the cheapest prices at supermarkets, but if you’re looking to order flowers online this Valentine’s Day here’s where you can find the cheapest prices and best deals.

1. Aldi

Last year Aldi sold 10 roses for £1.99 – the joint-cheapest we found, but they aren’t available online so you’ll need to take a trip to your local Aldi to pick up a bunch.

2. Asda

Last year Asda’s roses were £2, they are online – just remember there’s a minimum order of £40 plus delivery charges of between £1 to £6.50 – otherwise pop in store.

Their Valentine’s range hasn’t launched yet, but you can see all flowers here.

3. Sainsburys

Sainsbury’s are selling 10 Sweetheart roses for £2.50 and are available in red, yellow, orange, white, cerise or pink.

Looking for something different? We love the Sainsbury’s Rose & Alstroemeria Bouquet, which is priced at £6 and features two gorgeous shades of pink.

You can order these roses now on the Sainsbury’s website although there is a delivery charge of £1 to £7 and you need to spend at least £25.

4. Morrisons

Morrisons Valentine’s flowers are available to buy now and roses start from £5, for a dozen red roses.

You can also choose from My Valentine Bouquet for £10, and Pure Love Bouquet for £15, alternatively there’s Morrisons Pink Rose Bouquet for £5.

5. Tesco

Last year Tesco sold a dozen red roses for £5, so fingers crossed for a similar deal.

They aren’t available online, so you’ll need to try your local store.

6. Waitrose

Waitrose have a number of Valentine’s Day bouquets ranging from luxury options to red roses, planted options and even something a bit different like orchids.

Their cheapest bouquet is the Valentine’s Day Dozen Upper Class Foundation Roses, priced at £25.

We also love the No.1 Valentine’s Day Scented Roses with No.1 Truffles, but is a little pricier at £55.

7. Bloom and Wild

Looking for something a bit different? Bloom and Wild is worth checking out.

Currently there’s no red roses on offer, but as we draw closer to Valentine’s Day this may change.

Their cheapest bouquet is The Nova, and is priced at £24 for a gorgeous collection of  hyancinths, tulips and narcissi.

8. Interflora

Interflora deliver across the UK, and have a wide range of flowers so you can expect their Valentine’s flowers to be fabulous.

Their cheapest bunch is Half Dozen Red Rose Romantic Gift Box, and are priced at £37.

For £3 more you can go for Rose Free Beautiful Brights Bouquet which is £40.

9. Serenta

Serenta Flowers’ Dozen Red Roses will set you back £29.99, and are one of their best selling blooms.

Flower fans can also choose between Love in Bloom, priced at £39.99, and includes vibrant red roses with a delicate scattering of Gypsophilia.

10. Arena Flowers

Arena’s cheapest Valentine’s flowers are their Letterbox Fairtrade Dozen Red Roses are priced at £24, and their Letterbox Rose at £20.

Shoppers can also find the more unusual Letterbox Blossoming Love at a similar price, £25 and includes carnations, lisianthus, blue eryngium and a striking hot pink rose,

11. Marks & Spencer

Marks and Spencer has released their Valentines Collection, and whilst most won’t be delivered until February 9, you can still get in there and et them ordered.

The cheapest are Valentine’s Dozen Red Roses priced at £25.

12. Moonpig

Last year Moonpig sold  13 roses for £28, including a bar of chocolate, and £4 delivery.

Their Valentine’s flowers aren’t on sale yet but we’ll update this page when they launch.

eFlorists are selling a dozen red roses plus a box of chocolates for £24.99. Remember to factor in a delivery charge of £5.50 per order.

There’s currently an offer on 50 red roses, for £39.99 – but you’ll need to be quick.

What happens if you’re not happy with your flowers?

If the flowers you’ve ordered online arrive in a sorry state, there might be something you can do about it.

Consumer group Which? advises you take the following steps to get a refund:

• Take a picture as evidence of poor condition or damage to your flowers as this will help  support your complaint.
• If a loved one or friend has sent you flowers that have arrived in a poor condition or late, make sure you tell them. Otherwise the retailer may say they can’t access the order information and won’t resolve the problem.
• If you order a specific number of flowers but fewer than this amount are delivered to you, you’re entitled to a partial refund for the missing flowers.
