A LANDLORD is asking for £120-a-week for a tiny bedsit in West London, which is like a cabin in a ship.
The West Kensington bedsit’s single bed is housed in an alcove with a tiny bay lamp above it and a shower opposite.
The room has a narrow walkway with no space for a sofa. The only window in the apartment is partially blocked by the kitchen and storage shelves, which are both shoehorned at the end of the bedsit.
The ad says the studio room is fully furnished and has a shared bathroom consisting of a shower, WC and wash-hand basin.
The ad on the listing site Gumtree says: “Fully furnished, wooden floors fitted throughout, own kitchen.
“Compact studio room furnished with a single bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, small table and chairs.”
The listing states that the room is within a five minute walk from West Kensington and Barons Court tube station and near to multiple bus services.
The ad says: “Lots of amenities within a few minutes walk: Many shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, Queen’s Club Tennis, Westfield, gyms, the river Thames etc is a short walk away.”
Also, the home has easy access to M4, A4, A40, and Heathrow Airport.
It comes as a tiny garage in Newcastle has gone up for sale for £1.2million- but there’s more to the property than meets the eye.
It comes as a family of nine are cramped in a three-bed home that is a “severe threat” to their health and safety.
