Move follows complaint from lawyers for party leader, Richard Tice, who says he expects BBC to change its editorial guidelines

The BBC has apologised for referring to Reform UK as “far right” after a complaint from the lawyers for the party’s leader, Richard Tice.

The apology related to coverage of the Liberal Democrats’ spring conference by the broadcaster, which said it had removed a sentence from an article that did not adhere to of its editorial standards.
